General Information and Instructions
Use this application to register a litter of puppies born in the USA from an AKC-registered female that was mated to an
AKC-registered male of the same breed. Note: You must submit additional forms or use a different application for
multiple-sired litters, litters mated abroad, and litters resulting from artificial insemination, as described below. Email us at
firstname.lastname@example.org or call 919-233-9767 to speak to an AKC Customer Service Representative for assistance. Once
submitted, this application becomes the property of the American Kennel Club.
Fees are subject to change without notice.
To process an application received
six (6 months) of birth:
$20.00 for standard processing
$50.00 for Expedited Handling and Priority Mail service (Continental U.S. only. No Saturday delivery. No delivery
to a post office box number - full address only.) Allow 3-5 days for delivery.
To process an application received
six (6 months) after birth:
$80.00 for standard processing
$110.00 for Expedited Handling and Priority Mail service (Continental U.S. only. No Saturday delivery. No
delivery to a post office box number - full address only.) Allow 3-5 days for delivery.
To process a Lease Notification form: $10.00
To process this application, the AKC needs:
Information about (and signatures where indicated by a paw print):
the sire's owner on date of mating
the dam's owner(s) or lessee(s) on date of birth
the person to receive the registration applications
the dam's owner or lessee if ownership changed or lease terminated while dam was in whelp
If a Dam was leased at the time of mating or birth of a litter, you must submit a Lease Notification form.
If a Sire has sired six (6) or more litters in a lifetime or three (3) or more litters in a calendar year, an AKC DNA
profile must be on file.
Signatures of persons other than the owners or lessees will be accepted only if a properly completed authorization form
has been filed with the AKC. Forms are available on request.
